1. What is a Soundbank?

A Soundbank is a collection of instrument sounds (tones) used by your AeroBand Guitar. By installing or upgrading soundbanks, you can:

• Access a wider variety of instrument tones.
• Improve sound quality and realism.
• Expand your creative possibilities for playing and recording.

2. Why do I need to install or upgrade a Soundbank?

2.1 You may need to install or upgrade a Soundbank if:

• You want to unlock additional tones beyond the default set.
• A new Soundbank version has been released.
• You receive a prompt in the app to upgrade your Soundbank version.

2.2 If your AeroBand Guitar experiences any of the following issues: 

• Unusual noise from a specific string (such as buzzing).
• No sound from a single string.
• Volume fluctuates unexpectedly.
• A string sometimes produces sound and sometimes does not when played.
• You may also resolve them by upgrading the Soundbank version.

3. How do I know if I need to upgrade my Soundbank?

You can usually tell that a new soundbank version is available in the following ways:

App Pop-up Notification

Whenever a new soundbank version is released, you may receive a pop-up notification when opening the AeroBand Guitar app.

In-app Upgrade Entry

You can also find a Soundbank upgrade entry at the top of the "Guitar" page in the AeroBand Guitar app.

In-app Upgrade Prompts

Some features require a newer soundbank version. In these cases, you will see in-app prompts guiding you to upgrade.

You can tap the button to copy the upgrade link, then open it on your computer to complete the upgrade.

⚠️Note: The first two types of notifications (app pop-up and in-app upgrade entry) will only appear if your current Soundbank version is lower than version 308.

4. What should I prepare before installation?

Before you begin, please make sure:

• Your AeroBand Guitar has sufficient battery power.
• Your internet connection is stable.
• Bluetooth or USB connection is properly connected.
• You will not disconnect or power off the device during installation.

5. How do I install or upgrade a Soundbank?

Please follow the steps below to update the AeroBand Guitar Soundbank version.

• Please click here on your computer to open the official Soundbank upgrade page.
• Download the appropriate Soundbank upgrade tool for your system and save it to your computer (make sure to select the version that matches your operating system).

• Extract the downloaded package, open the tool, and launch the main interface.
• Connect your AeroBand Guitar to the computer using a Type-C cable, and ensure the tool shows a "Connected" status.
• Select the available Soundbank package (e.g., "Sound Pack_308") and click "Download Now".
• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
• Please wait until the installation is fully completed, and do not disconnect the device during the process. Under a stable internet connection, the upgrade typically takes 10–15 minutes, depending on the network speed and the size of the Soundbank file.

6. What if the installation fails?

If the Soundbank upgrade fails, it may be caused by one of the following reasons:

1. The guitar or USB cable was moved during the upgrade process.

   🌟Please do not move the guitar or disconnect the cable during the upgrade.

2. The USB cable being used does not support data transfer.

   🌟Please use a USB cable that supports data transfer.

3. The upgrade process was interrupted before completion.

   🌟Under normal circumstances, the upgrade process takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. But in some cases, the upgrade may take longer. We recommend continuing to wait until the page displays either a successful upgrade or an upgrade failed message.

4. The guitar firmware version is too low.

   🌟The guitar firmware must first be upgraded to version V30302082 or above through the app before performing the Soundbank upgrade.)

5. The computer used for the Soundbank upgrade is running an outdated operating system. 

   🌟For Mac computers, please select the appropriate file version according to the on-screen instructions. For Windows computers, Windows 10 or above is supported.)

   

7. What should I do after installation?

After completing the installation:

• Restart your AeroBand Guitar.
• Reconnect it to the AeroBand Guitar app.
• Check the tone list to confirm new soundbanks are available.

You can switch between tones via the AeroBand Guitar app and the guitar's built-in controls.

8. Will installing a Soundbank affect my current settings?

Existing settings are usually not affected. Newly installed soundbanks will be added to your tone library.
