1. What is Auto Mode?
Auto Mode is an easier playing mode for guitar beginners, with simplified hand movements. It allows you to play guitar chords with easier finger placements and strumming patterns. With this mode, you can play your favorite songs in just a few minutes.
Before entering the Auto Mode Singing & Playing section, let’s first understand what Auto Mode is:
- In traditional guitar playing, the left hand usually needs to press 1 to 4 fingers on the fretboard to change the pitch, while the right hand needs to pluck or strum the strings multiple times to produce sound.
- Auto Mode simplifies the usual playing movements of both hands, while still allowing you to create pleasant-sounding accompaniment for singing and playing.
- Auto Mode is designed for accompanying vocal melodies and lyrics while singing.
2. How do I switch to Auto Mode?
You can switch to Auto Mode in two different ways, depending on where you are in the setup or playing process.
2.1 Switching to Auto Mode in the AeroBand App
- First Time Using the AeroBand App: If you are connecting the AeroBand Guitar to your phone via Bluetooth for the first time, the app will guide you through the setup process. During this initial connection flow, you can choose Auto Mode directly.
- Not the first time using the app or already familiar with the initial setup instructions: If you have already completed the first-time setup, you can switch to Auto Mode in the AeroBand app by following the steps below: 1. Open the AeroBand app and register or log in to your account → 2. Connect your AeroBand Guitar to the app via Bluetooth → 3. Tap the "Auto" button in the upper-left corner of the app screen.
2.2 Switching to Auto Mode with the Guitar Button
You can also switch to Auto Mode with the "Tone" button of the AeroBand Guitar by following the steps below: 1. Open the AeroBand app and register or log in to your account → 2. Connect your AeroBand Guitar to the app via Bluetooth → 3. Press and hold the "Tone" button for 2-3 seconds.
If you're switching to Auto Mode this way, please make sure:
- Your AeroBand Guitar is already successfully connected to the app via Bluetooth.
- The AeroBand Guitar app is open and paired properly.
- Hold the button long enough to switch modes.
If the mode does not change immediately, check whether the Bluetooth connection is stable and try again.
If you are already familiar with the app interface, this may be the most intuitive method.
3. How to play in Auto Mode?
To play in Auto Mode, you should first familiarize yourself with how it works and the features of the AeroBand Guitar app.
3.1 Auto Mode: Frets, Chords, and Songs
1. Frets and Chords
- In Auto Mode, only the first seven frets on the AeroBand Guitar light up. The colors from the 1st to the 7th fret are green, blue, orange, purple, light blue (Tiffany blue-like), yellow, and pink.
- Each fret corresponds to a specific chord. When you pluck any of the six strings on a fret, its indicator light becomes brighter, and the corresponding arpeggiated chord is played.
- For example, if the 1st fret (green) is assigned to a C chord, plucking any string on that fret will trigger the arpeggiated C chord.
2. Play songs
Once your AeroBand Guitar is successfully connected to the AeroBand Guitar app via Bluetooth, you can start playing songs by following the steps below:
- Tap the Songs section in the AeroBand Guitar app.
- Browse or search for the song you want to play.
- Tap the version you want to perform (some songs may have multiple versions).
If the song or version you want is not available in the Song Library, you can submit your score request by following these steps:
- Tap the Request button in the lower-right corner of the app.
- Fill in the required information for your requested score.
- Tap Submit.
3. Chord Display and Layout in Auto Mode
- After entering the song page, you will see seven chord blocks at the bottom. These correspond to the first seven frets on the AeroBand Guitar and follow the same color order.
- In Auto Mode, each song uses up to seven chords. The chord blocks displayed in the center of the screen indicate the chords you need to play during the song.
3.2 Auto Mode Playing Guidance
- On the song page, when the first chord is a B chord, an arrow in the chord layout below points to the corresponding colored blocks, indicating where to play.
- After you play the B chord, the arrow moves to the next chord in advance, and the next chord block begins to fill. When the fill is complete, playing the chord will smoothly transition to the next chord block.
- This process continues in sequence, forming the core logic of Auto mode.

4.1 Using the Mic Volume Button
You can enable the drum loop by long-pressing the Mic Volume button on the AeroBand Guitar.

4.2 Using Fret Trigger (Recommended)
You can also trigger the drum loop by playing the 8th to 11th frets on the AeroBand Guitar. Refer to the diagram below for an example.
This method allows you to control the drum loop directly from the guitar, making it more natural during playing. Depending on your playing habits, this can provide a smoother and more integrated performance experience.
For more advanced control, you can lightly tap the 12th fret three times with your left hand to trigger a drum loop. The tempo of the drum loop is determined by the interval between the three taps, allowing you to set the rhythm manually.
