Yes. PocketDrum 2 Max can work as a MIDI controller for VST/AU instruments in DAWs.
PocketDrum 2 Max sends MIDI data to your computer via a wired connection. Once connected to a DAW such as Cubase, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Studio One, or Reaper, you can use the DAW's built-in virtual instruments or third-party VST/AU plugins to play drum kits and other virtual instruments.
Please note:
- PocketDrum 2 Max does not run or install VST/AU plugins directly. VST/AU plugins must be installed and hosted within a compatible DAW on your computer.
- PocketDrum 2 Max is compatible with DAWs and VST/AU plugins that support the standard MIDI protocol.
- MIDI mapping may vary between different DAWs and VST/AU plugins. If the drum note assignments are incorrect, you can adjust the MIDI Mapping within your DAW or VST/AU plugin.
