Yes. PocketDrum 2 Max can be used as a hardware MIDI controller with external devices that support USB Host and USB MIDI input, allowing you to control external sound modules, hardware synthesizers, and other MIDI-compatible devices using your drum performance.
PocketDrum 2 Max outputs standard MIDI data through a wired connection. When connecting to an external MIDI device, make sure the target device supports USB MIDI input, or use a compatible USB MIDI Host or MIDI interface.
Please note:
- PocketDrum 2 Max does not support a direct connection to devices that only have a traditional 5-pin MIDI input. To connect to such devices, you must use a compatible USB MIDI Host or MIDI interface.
- The external device must support standard MIDI messages, such as Note and Velocity, to respond correctly to the performance data sent by PocketDrum 2 Max.
- MIDI channels and note mappings may vary between different MIDI devices. If necessary, you can adjust the MIDI settings on the receiving device or in your DAW to achieve optimal compatibility.
