The AeroBand Guitar can connect to computers (Windows / macOS) and mobile devices (iOS / Android) via either a wired USB connection or Bluetooth.

1. Connecting to a Computer (Windows/ macOS)

1.1 Wired USB Connection

The AeroBand Guitar can be connected to a Windows or macOS computer via a USB cable. Common use cases include:

Using it as a MIDI controller: Connect the guitar to a DAW that supports MIDI input (e.g., GarageBand, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live) to play and control software instruments.
Updating the Soundbank: Connect to a Windows or macOS computer to update the guitar's Soundbank via the Soundbank Tool.
Updating firmware: Connect to a Windows computer to update both Bluetooth firmware and microphone firmware. Note: Firmware updates are not currently supported on macOS.

1.2 Bluetooth Connection

The AeroBand Guitar can also connect to a Windows or macOS computer via Bluetooth. Common use cases include:

Using it as a wireless MIDI controller: Same as the wired setup above, but without the cable.
Using it as an audio playback device: Connect to the guitar's built‑in speaker via Bluetooth and use it as your computer's audio output for music, system sounds, and other audio content.

2. Connecting to Mobile Devices (iOS/ Android)

2.1 Wired USB Connection

The AeroBand Guitar can be connected to iOS or Android devices via USB to serve as a MIDI controller.

iOS devices (iPhone/iPad): Use a compatible USB‑C hub to connect to your iOS device, then plug the guitar into the hub.
Android devices: Connect the guitar directly to your Android device using a USB cable.

Important notes:

Make sure your USB cable supports data transfer; not all cables do.
MIDI device support may vary across different DAWs and apps. Please refer to your specific app's setup guide for details.

2.2 Bluetooth Connection

The AeroBand Guitar supports Bluetooth connections to mobile devices for both MIDI and audio use. Once connected, you can:

Use it as a wireless MIDI controller: Connect via Bluetooth MIDI to any compatible DAW or music app, and use your guitar to control virtual instruments or trigger other MIDI functions.
Use it as a Bluetooth speaker: Pair your mobile device with the guitar and stream music, podcasts, or any other audio directly through its built‑in speaker.
