A Soundbank is a collection of instrument sounds (tones) used by your AeroBand Guitar. Installing or upgrading a Soundbank can provide access to additional tones, new features, and sound improvements. It may also help resolve certain sound or string-related issues.
1. What is a Soundbank?
A Soundbank is a collection of instrument sounds (tones) used by your AeroBand Guitar. By installing or upgrading soundbanks, you can:
- Access a wider variety of instrument tones.
- Improve sound quality and realism.
- Expand your creative possibilities for playing and recording.
2. What does upgrading a Soundbank do?
2.1 You may need to install or upgrade a Soundbank if:
- You want to unlock additional tones beyond the default set.
- A new Soundbank version has been released.
- You receive a prompt in the app to upgrade your Soundbank version.
2.2 If your AeroBand Guitar experiences any of the following issues:
- Unusual noise from a specific string (such as buzzing).
- No sound from a single string.
- Volume fluctuates unexpectedly.
- A string sometimes produces sound and sometimes does not when played.
- You may also resolve these by upgrading the Soundbank version.
⚠️Note: Some AeroBand Guitar models manufactured before 2025 do not support Soundbank upgrades and cannot be updated, so they will remain on the current Soundbank version.
3. How will I know when a Soundbank update is available?
You can usually tell that a new Soundbank version is available in the following ways:
3.1 App Pop-up Notification
Whenever a new Soundbank version is released, you may receive a pop-up notification when opening the guitar app.
3.2 In-app Upgrade Entry
You can also find a Soundbank upgrade entry at the top of the "Guitar" page in the guitar app.
3.3 In-app Upgrade Prompts
Some features require a newer soundbank version. In these cases, you will see in-app prompts guiding you to upgrade.
You can tap the button to copy the upgrade link, then open it on your computer to complete the upgrade.
⚠️Note: The first two types of notifications (app pop-up and in-app upgrade entry) will only appear if your current Soundbank version is lower than version 308.
