If the Soundbank upgrade fails, the issue is usually caused by an interrupted connection, an incompatible USB cable, an incomplete upgrade, outdated firmware, or an unsupported operating system.
Check the possible causes and solutions below:
No. |
Cause |
Solution |
| 1 | The guitar or USB cable was moved during the upgrade process. | Do not move the guitar or disconnect the USB cable while the upgrade is in progress. |
| 2 | The USB cable does not support data transfer. | Use a USB cable that supports data transfer (not a charging-only cable). |
| 3 | The upgrade was interrupted before completion. | The upgrade usually takes about 10–15 minutes, but it may take longer in some cases. Please wait until the app shows either "Upgrade Successful" or "Upgrade Failed." |
| 4 | The guitar firmware version is too low. | Update the guitar firmware to version V30302082 or above through the app before upgrading the Soundbank. |
| 5 | The computer's operating system is outdated. |
For Windows, make sure you are using Windows 10 or above. For Mac, select the file version that matches your operating system according to the on-screen instructions. |
Note: Some AeroBand Guitar models manufactured before 2025 do not support Soundbank upgrades and cannot be updated, so they will remain on the current Soundbank version.
