While charging or shortly after, the adapter's internal temperature rises. When it crosses the safe limit, the temperature sensor pauses charging, and the adapter briefly enters a protection state. As a result, the Bluetooth (BLE-MIDI) connection between the drumsticks, foot pedal, adapter, and app may drop, and the adapter may temporarily stop showing up in your Bluetooth list.
To fix it:
- Don't use the drumstick while the adapter is charging (Charging and playing at the same time can also affect USB MIDI, so for MIDI we recommend a Bluetooth connection with the adapter fully charged).
- Unplug the charging cable, place the adapter on a flat, dry, non-flammable surface in a well-ventilated area, and let it cool down. Then restart the adapter and reconnect Bluetooth.
If the connection still drops often when the adapter isn't charging and has fully cooled down, please stop using it and contact the AeroBand Support Team at support@aeroband.net with details and a short video for troubleshooting.
